How to Remove Burrs from your Dog’s Fur

This morning when I was walking Nikki we were in some rough grass and I was reminded of a tip from my groomer, that I published in our summer Lifestyle Pet Care Newsletter.  It deserves repeating, so here it is verbatim!

Get these out of your dog’s fur!

It’s that time of year again!  Burrs can make a real mess of a coat and most people think that the only option is to cut them out, which can makes a worse mess!  The small burrs can usually be brushed out with a slicker brush but the big ones are more of a pain.  Crushing them with pliers makes them much easier to brush out, and coating the burr with a (dog fur) conditioner helps even more.
