World Class Dog Walking & Pet Sitting!

Quest for excellence —

On September 12-15th, I attended Pet Sitters International’s (PSI) 2012 Quest for Excellence Convention in Austin, Texas.  Pet Sitters International is the world’s largest educational association for professional pet sitters. I was one of 140 Professional pet sitters and industry experts to attend Pet Sitters International’s 17th quest for Excellence, and the ONLY Canadian!

Association members and industry professionals from 27 U.S. states and Canada (me!) took part in Quest, which is considered the professional pet sitting industry’s top educational convention. The 2012 Quest for Excellence convention offered a wide range of educational opportunities, with general sessions and workshops led by pet-care veterans, trainers and pet-industry experts. Sessions covered a variety of topics, including pet first aid, avian care, pet loss and social media.

I also participated in PSI’s annual Quest charity auction, which raised more than $7,000 to benefit Animal Trustees of Austin, a non-profit organization offering to improve the quality of life for cats and dogs that are in need of care and assistance with spay/neuter surgeries, preventative wellness care, canine dental cleanings, and heartworm treatments/prevention.Look for more information to come as I share some of my learnings!
